50° Anniversary Volo a Vela Airport and Aero Club Adele Orsi

In occasion of the 50° anniversary of the sailplane airport Volo a Vela of Calcinate del Pesce and of the Aero Club Adele Orsi (ACAO), Calcinate will host a competition of the Mondial Grand Prix.
It's a prestigious competition for the first time in Italy, in which 20 international pilots will compete by leaving and arriving simultaneously from an imaginary line. The Grand Prix will take place along a lead charted in the sky with a pattern structurated with a flying starting and arrival grid.
There will be spectacular competitions, tought to give emotions especially to the public.
People could see the competitions live, on the web and through big screens positioned in strategic points of Varese like Sacro Monte or Forte di Orino, so they could also enjoy the fantastic views offered by the Province of Varese.
Calcinate del Pesce airport is the only one in Lombardia together with Alzate Brianza airport, that has got the exclusivity of the Volo a Vela and its position on the lake makes him unique in his kind.
