The big new organisational feature of EICMA 2010 is called CUSTOM CITY: an exhibition area entirely dedicated to this type of motorbike and its fans, set to become a “show within the show” ( like the “Green Planet” dedicated to electric and hybrid vehicles).
The idea to create a “custom area” inside EICMA was prompted by pressure from motorbike companies, builders and fans. But aside from the emotional urging, the numbers provide a rational justification: against current downhill market trends, the share of vehicles dedicated to custom and touring bikes is on the up. Today accounting for 17.5% of sales on the Italian market; they are on the slow, but constant rise.
Parallel to the actual motorbike sector, the accessories (sport, technical and fashion) segment is growing and specialised publishers are taking a more animated and enterprising turn.
CUSTOM CITY will be located in Pavilion 2 of Fiera Milano, the same which has historically been host to Harley - Davidson, Big Bear, CR&S, Headbanger, Confederate, Zero Engineering, Gray Indian’s Collection.
CUSTOM CITY will be created with collaboration from Terre di Moto srl (we signed with this Company an agreement that will last for several years) which will notably be putting on a show, and full sponsorship from BIKERS LIFE magazine.

To make it easier to take part and boost interest in the new area, EICMA has prepared some really very interesting “all-inclusive packages”.
